Re-Awakening Lea Village – Back to Backs

Reel Access took a small group to the Back to backs on Friday as part of our Re-awakening Lea Village project. Here are a few images from the trip. We spoke to the group afterwards about what they thought about a rare piece of Birmingham history.

Reel2Relay – Castle Vale Swimmers

Our Olympic inspired project Reel2Relay makes its web debut here on the Reel Access website. The Birmingham City Council funded project in which we worked with ten community groups across Birmingham. The final film was shown at numerous locations across Birmingham including outside the Mailbox as part of our Olympic celebrations.

Here is the first one which is a small 2 minute film about the Castle vale swimmers group. It’s lovely.  Sit back and enjoy.

With help from John Bradburn and Andy Paton from Staffordshire University.

The workshops produced a number of short films and animations. Reel Access has a continuing relationship with the charity and is proposing future project partnerships.
