The Board is led by our Chair, Bryan Foster and currently has four Directors, due to a recent resignation. They play an essential role in supporting the organisation’s aims by offering their time and expertise to strengthen and support the company’s development and ensure it is fulfilling its requirements under law as well as championing the work of the company to its stakeholders and widening its connections.

Lee Harris, outgoing board member says; “It has been a privilege to have been a board member for ten years, seeing Reel Access from its fledgling start growing into the steady organisation it has become. Throughout this time, it has remained true to its founding principles and given access to young people, vulnerable adults and those otherwise not able to take part in mainstream services to participate and learn about filmmaking and well as unearthing talent. Luckily, I was also able to work with the team members on one or two projects. Here’s to the next ten years of Reel Access; even though I’ve moved to sunnier climes, I’ll always look back at the organisation with affection and a little pride in being part of its growth and sustainable future.”
Key Information
The time commitment for trustees is attendance at 4-6 meetings per year, plus an annual AGM & planning day. We also encourage board members to provide additional time to support specific tasks or initiatives and to provide a sounding board to the staff and other board members. Meetings currently take place at our office in Birmingham.
The role of a trustee is a volunteer position and is not remunerated but reasonable expenses can be paid.
